Is mold affecting you or your family?
Is mold in your home, office or school causing you or your family health problems? Do you have or suspect mold growth in your home, office or school? The Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) both agree that elevated levels of mold in a home, office or school can cause health issues such as respiratory problems including allergies, asthma, congestion, throat irritation, eye irritation, coughing and wheezing. Other possible health problems associated with mold exposure include headaches, brain fog, depression, joint pain and stiffness, anxiety and insomnia. Mold effects people differently; some people have a high tolerance for mold exposure and others are very sensitive or genetically predisposed to bad reactions to even small amounts of mold. Getting your home, office or school tested by a qualified mold inspector is crucial to discovering if mold is the cause of health issues for you, your family, coworkers, or classmates.
EQ inspectors will listen to your concerns, gather any information you have concerning known mold problems, moisture issues or water leaks and then inspect the whole house or building for evidence of mold or of situations which could cause mold growth. It is best if our client is with us during their inspection so we can explain our findings in person, though we always provide a written report as well.
After inspecting the property the inspector will then take air or surface samples (depending on the situation and concerns expressed) which will be analyzed by a qualified laboratory. A written report will follow and will include all issues discovered, potential issues to be aware of and remedial recommendations if necessary.
EQ mold inspectors cover all of Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts. EQ inspectors are trained to visually inspect a property for mold, and for any conditions which could cause mold growth. When a visual inspection is not enough, further steps such as air sampling or dust wipe sampling are conducted. Detailed recommendations and advice are submitted to the client in a written report upon the return of lab results.
To avoid any conflict of interest, EQ specializes in mold inspection and does not offer mold remediation services.
