Lead Paint Inspection
Lead paint poisoning presents a danger to children and adults. Many properties throughout Rhode Island have lead paint on walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors, exterior siding or trim. The best defense against lead paint is knowing where lead paint is found in a building or house, and what steps are needed in response.
Using an XRF Niton Analyzer, EQ inspectors will tell you where lead paint is found in your Rhode Island property, including the number of layers of paint on an object or component and which layers have lead paint. Once Lead Paint is found, your inspector will give detailed advice on how to make the property lead-safe for all occupants.
Many properties in Providence, Newport, Pawtucket, Bristol and Warren can be expected to have lead paint concerns, and every other city and town throughout Rhode Island, including Warwick, Cranston, North Kingstown, South Kingstown, East Greenwich and East Providence have many properties built before 1978, the year lead paint was banned by the Federal Government and the State of Rhode Island.
